Illini Parents 101 Workshops – September 25, 2010

is another opportunity for parents to come together and learn about the University and its services and meet university faculty, staff and other Illini families. Guest speakers address the issues and concerns today's college students are experiencing. This year's Illini Parents 101 Workshops were held on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Moms and Dads Associations fall board meetings—September 26, 2010

These day-long meetings take place the Sunday after the Illinois Parents 101 Workshops. Guests are welcome to attend to learn more about the Moms and Dads Associations' Board of Directors and get the inside scoop on what's happening at the University.

Dads Weekend

Dads Weekend 2009 – November 13-15, 2009

is a fall event during a home football game weekend. All family members are encouraged to attend. To kick-off the weekend, the Dads Association hosts their annual banquet on Friday evening where they recognize recipients of the Certificate of Merit, the Library Awards and King Dad is crowned. The Dads Association annual meeting is held on Saturday morning, followed by a pre-game Tent Party, and then it's off to the game! There is a variety of other events scheduled across campus, so there's sure to be something for everyone. Information on Dads Weekend 2009 is available here.

Tuition Drawing 2009—November 14, 2009

The Moms and Dads Associations sponsor an annual Tuition Drawing. First prize is two semesters of in-state base tuition and second prize is one semester of in-state base tuition. The Associations have funded the Career Cluster resource center and the Interactive Media Center at the Undergraduate Library, a McKinley Health Center video, bicycles for the University Police, televisions for the McKinley Health Center waiting areas and a wide variety of other programs with proceeds from the Tuition Drawing.

Dads Weekend

Moms Weekend – April 16-18, 2010

We invite you to join the Moms Association on Friday evening for the Explore Illinois event, where visitors get a glimpse of the people, research and life at Illinois, the Medallion of Honor is recognized and Mom of the Year is announced. Other weekend activities include the IUB Moms Day Craft Fair, the Atius-Sachem Moms Day Sing, the Black Chorus Moms Day Sing, the Horticulture Club Open House and the Illini Union Board Spring Musical and more. The Moms Association annual meeting is held on Saturday morning.



Summer Registration

This program is for freshmen and transfer students and is scheduled for six weeks each summer: May through July with late registration in August. The Moms and Dads Associations' volunteers welcome new parents to campus and help ease the transition to college. There is an short Registration program in January for students admitted for the Spring semester.
