Dads Weekend - November 11-13, 2011

Dads Weekend is a fall event during a home football game weekend. All family members are welcome and encouraged to attend. To kick off the weekend, the Dads Association hosts their annual banquet on Friday evening where they recognize recipients of the Certificate of Merit and the Library Awards, and where King Dad is crowned. The Dads Association annual meeting is held on Saturday morning, followed by a pre-game Tailgate, then it's off to the game! Moms and Dads Associations January board meetings - Jan 15, 2012

These day-long meetings take place the Sunday before Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Interested parents are encouraged to contact a current Board member (or the Illini Union Parent Programs Office) to discuss attending the meetings in order to learn more about the Moms and Dads Associations' Board of Directors and get the inside scoop on what's happening at the University.

Moms Weekend – April 20-22, 2012

Moms Weekend

We invite you to join the Moms Association on Friday evening for the Explore Illinois event, where visitors get a glimpse of the people, research and life at Illinois, the Medallion of Honor is recognized and Mom of the Year is announced. Other weekend activities include the IUB Moms Day Craft Fair, the Black Chorus Moms Day Sing, the Horticulture Club Open House, the Illini Union Board Spring Musical and more. Summer Registration - Projected as May 29 - July 13, 2012

This program is for freshmen and transfer students and is scheduled for six weeks each summer in May through July. The Moms and Dads Associations' volunteers welcome new parents to campus and help ease the transition to college. There is a short registration program in January for students admitted for the Spring semester. For final dates, please refer to the Office of Admissions' website.

Move-In Receptions - August 22 & 23, 2012

Every year, thousands of families converge on the Champaign-Urbana area in August to get their student settled before the first week of classes. It can be an overwhelming day for students and parents alike. The Associations and the Illini Union Parent Programs Office will hold Move-In Receptions to welcome parents and families of new students! Join us at the Illini Union in the Colonial Room (first floor, northeast corner) on Aug 22 or Aug 23 from 3-5 pm for free snacks and refreshments and a place to relax. Fall Welcome - Sat, September 15, 2012

Join Illini Union Parent Programs Office and the Moms and Dads Associations Boards of Directors on Saturday, Sept 15, 2012. This is a great opportunity to visit your student on campus, sometimes for the first time since you moved them in. Bring your student and join us in the Illini Union for tailgate-style appetizers and refreshments, a meet and greet with University administrators, and spend some fun time with your student!

Tuition Drawing

The Moms and Dads Associations sponsor an annual Tuition Drawing. First prize is two semesters of in-state base tuition and second prize is one semester of in-state base tuition. Proceeds from the Tuition Drawing enable the Associations to fund a wide variety of programs, including: the Career Cluster resource center and the Interactive Media Center at the Undergraduate Library, a McKinley Health Center video, bicycles for the University Police, and televisions for the McKinley Health Center waiting areas.
